Bruna Jones: Let's start from the beginning. What did you used to do or work before you started acting for adult videos?
Jovan Jordan: Before entering the adult entertainment industry. I had attended college, worked regular entry level jobs, and modeled. While attending college my major was Political Science/African American Studies. At the time I had aspirations of becoming an lawyer. With that I thought about possible law schools that I wanted to attend. I thought about why I wanted to become an lawyer and what I possibly do and what suited my aspirations at the time. At the time I thought about all the possibilities I could do and how to unlock my dreams into reality. During that time I worked various of entry level jobs also I competed in track & field 400m NAIA Division 2 for an period and had an couple opportunities to further that but that's an story for another time.
Bruna Jones: Some people go into adult entertainment for fame, money or even for pleasure. What motivated you to start making these movies?
Jovan Jordan: I was born and raised in Gary, Indiana, where your faced with an choice face adversity and overcome or fold up. I had the drive to always go get what I set my mind too. I always wanted to live in Los Angeles since I was a youth. I spoke that into existence. I was thought about originally modeling and acting in mainstream films. For me I felt being adult entertainment was a challenge for me an chance for fresh start and achieve my goal moving to LA. Before entering the adult industry I had done some amateur videos to see how I felt about it and could i do it. Now what lead me to entering the adult industry was me coming to a cross roads. I originally had gotten my GED. Before entering college I started off small. At first i enrolled in a Medical Assisting Program, where I completed an Medical Assisting Program/Phlebotomist. Then I went to school for Surgical Tech program nearly i as I was about to graduate I found out the program was accredited after putting two years in. So I left but had to handle the that situation so I worked and did what I had to do. Which eventually lead me going to back to college and running track. My junior/senior year in college I was informed that I didn't my loans ran out. I had setbacks even with track I had a potential scholarship on the line which I could have further track and field for me but things didn't pan out for me in that way. So as I sat in the office I knew I had to go about things differently all these things happen and I asked myself what do I now. I came home work and hustle. I got into then modeling and decided let me see if I get into adult entertainment industry and rebuild me up and go for. There. Treat it like a job and go far as I can as long as I can.
Bruna Jones: How was for you the first time you recorded an adult video? What do you think about having thousands of people checking your videos daily?
Jovan Jordan: Well my first time for doing an adult video. I was living in Gary, Indiana. At this time I was out of school working and doing what I had to do to get by. So I would do research and also around about the Adult Industry. I got in contact with an company called Green Clover Entertainment. It was in Chicago it was like 2 or 3 am I did the shoot with an female talent Ms. Head Rush. I wasn't nervous. I just came in and did what I had to do I got through it and I felt I think I can do this. And the rest is history. It doesn't bother me but it's like wow it's an life changing event but it's dope to me.
Bruna Jones: Many people are very perfectionists about the artwork, do you have the habit of watching your own videos?
Jovan Jordan: Yes I am hard on myself and how I look and even more harder now.
Bruna Jones: When you are not acting, what do you usually do in your day to day?
Jovan Jordan: I am up early posting, got my music going, exercise, posting, errands, and chilling and even when I am chilling I make sure I am doing something productive.
Bruna Jones: Nowadays porn has become much more accessible to the world, a small recording can go viral in a matter of minutes and more and more people are consuming this stuff from an actor's point of view. Do you believe that even today there may be prejudice with those who work in this profession?
Jovan Jordan: I think the way things are now I think being in adult industry is seen more as a job/hustle and people don't trip about it. Regardless people with accept you or not, no matter what you do in life. What matters is do you accept you for you. That's what matters you only can live for you.
Bruna Jones: Lately, you have been producing your own content only on fans, how did you come up with the idea of further covering your work on the internet?
Jovan Jordan: Yes it's hustle that's another job but it pays off and has helped me immensely.
Bruna Jones: Your career is already well established. What is it like for you to have all this recognition? What do you intend to do with her in the future? Is there any long term plan for what you are doing?
Jovan Jordan: Make the most of my time, work as much as I can. Yes I do I goals and plans but the left hand doesn't tell the right hand doing feel me. lol
Bruna Jones: In the United States and Brazil, reality shows are in vogue. There are several ... "The Voice", "Survivor", "Big Brother" ... If you were invited to join one, would you accept?
Jovan Jordan: I don't watch TV like that believe it or not to be honest or reality shows. I would want to do something cool idk it's an toss up I probably I do them all if I could.
Bruna Jones: Have you ever been to Brazil? Would you like to visit us?
Jovan Jordan: I haven't been overseas yet but I do want to travel and of course!
